George Playfair, “DJ Jammin' George”
George began playing drums at 10 years old and performed in bands until the mid-80's. In the late 80's until 2008, George partnered with Paul Grace in the mobile DJ business, "Unlimited DJ Productions", DJing at county fairs, weddings, reunions, birthday parties, etc. He DJ'd at Wyvil's Tavern in Upper Marlboro in the 90' where he met Tommy D and was introduced to the DC Hand Dancers. He played music at Kent Island Youth Center, Kent Island Yacht Club and Jasper's Restaurant. He partnered with DJ Dr. Jay as the "Dynamic Duo" and currently hosts a dance at the Annapolis Elks. In 2022, George was honored to become a DC Hand Dance Club DJ. Additionally, George provides digital video DJing, hosts local karaoke, and enjoys playing the Blues on his harmonica. |
